paris, part one

ah. my spring break.
i'm sad that all the traveling is over, it was as wonderful as everyone says, but it's good to be back in one place. my skin, digestive system and wardrobe are thanking me.
more about the roller coaster of emotions that resulted to follow, but all you must know about me right now is that i'm enjoying an entire week of being lazy and doing only the things that i want to do with a very good friend by my side, freckles on my face and sandals on my feet.

here is a hefty load of images gathered from the first portion of my week in paris, with friends katlin and rachel. i couldn't have asked for better travel buddies, and i am proud to say that we did paris pretty well. complete with an awesome hostel, the enjoyment of some local bars with local people, great food, leisurely walks home, not too much getting lost, and a healthy dose of museums, down time and wine.

we probably could have used more sleep though... oops.

on saturday we made the journey to versailles

we were genuinely blown away by the grandeur and size of this palace
